Five Vignettes

for flute/piccolo, clarinet/bass clarinet, violin, cello

Written for and performed by Hub New Music for the Red Note Music Festival 2022

Trying a cheese charcuterie, an evening of wine tasting, a box of chocolates: what would a musical equivalent sound like? These five vignettes are meant to be approached a similar way. Each vignette has it's singular focus, but also has relationships with the other four. They are small works of art, meant to be enjoyable and impermanent experiences.
